The other night, I was trying to get Benny settled down to go to sleep and he was trying to convince me to stay in the room.
Benny: Maybe you could talk to someone.
Me: Who would you like me to talk to?
Benny: Maybe you could talk to me?
Me: Oh, I'd love to. What would you like to talk about.
Benny: Let's talk about Pull-ups.
Me: Okay. Pull-ups are nice and I like them.
Benny: Now you say, "You don't tinkle in the pull-up because you tinkle in the potty."
Me: You don't tinkle in the pull-up because you tinkle in the potty.
Benny: I tinkle in the potty so I can flush the potty.
Me: That's good.
Benny: That's all you have to say about pull-ups.
And then he let me kiss him, say goodnight, and leave the room with no further argument.
