Couple things. He's very pale in the pictures below -- they were doing face painting for the last week and he was "Prince Benny" and part of that was having white paint all over his face. Also, if he looks a little goofy in these pictures, consider that he had soooo much fun on that day of preschool that he fell asleep almost the minute he hit the carseat that day. Every day since then he's lamented the fact that there's no preschool. Other children cried every day they were dropped off, all year. Benny rushed in with joy, day after day -- they gave him a fabulous experience and we're very grateful. He's going back next year too! :)

Preschool is over for the year! WEEP! Here are pictures of Benny on his last day, posing with Ms. Claudia, Mr. Steve, and Ms. Jessica. We didn't get a picture of Ms. Monique because I was taking pictures during the time when the children were coming and going, and she was watching over the kids in the back. We love Ms. Monique though! Or, as Benny spelled it, Ms. Moneek. He made his teachers tote bags for their goodbye presents. On one side he used stamps and paint to make bugs, and on the other he wrote messages with fabric markers. For "Ms Clodea" and "Ms Jessisica" and "Ms Moneek" and "Msis Ford."

What he's asking me to play right now is... a b c b a b c b a b c b etc. and then d e f e d e f e d e f e etc. While he plays something else on the top. He's very INSISTENT that I play it because he cannot reach the lower parts while he's using both hands on the top. So it's this like... little minor thing in a minor and d minor. He's so funny, he's making me scream.

I am so behind and I am working on all pictures but here are a few things I have to write down before I forget:

1. Benny now gives me parts to play on his keyboard. Like he'll say, "Okay, Mommy, you play right here. This A. Like this." And then he'll help my finger play the A in a certain rhythm. Then he plays along. I can't hear any of it because he's wearing his headphones. If I do it wrong he will say, "NO. Like this! Try again!" in a really helpful and encouraging way. *FAINT* He explained to me once that it's because his finger can't go all the way to that A.

2. He's playing Lightly Row QUITE WELL. Today's practice I played with him and I played harmony parts on all the Twinkles and he stuck to the melody and stayed right with me -- very nice! I tried playing duet on Lightly Row but he's not strong enough on that song yet to hold his own part. HE IS DOING SO WELL THOUGH!!! Recital June 12 all are invited. :)

3. He wrote an email to his best friend, Gabe:

...........
i wunt fun
i wunu play
love benny
...........

IS THERE ANYTHING SWEETER THAN THAT PURE BEAUTIFUL TRANSPARENCY OF SPIRIT? "I WUNT FUN"!?!?! I almost died when I read that.
