Anchors Away
AKA Boat Camp
June 2004

Benny went to music camp every morning for a week with Mrs. Ford.
At the end they did a show, and here is the show:

Mrs. Ford explaining to us about the song they were going to sing.

Benny fidgeting.

The kids sang really well! I was amazed at how quickly
she taught them so many songs. Benny has been singing the songs
at home all week.

Singing "Sailing to the Sea" with the tone bars.

After the sleeping draught took effect.

Marching about.

Benny's the bell on the buoy.

The blonde boy next to Benny is Jack. Jack was Benny's
favorite kid at boat camp. His favorite helper was Brendan who
played "scary monster" games with Benny -- very memorable.
His favorite teacher, of course, was the incomparable Mrs. Ford.

Benny and Jack playing drums.

For "Row Row Row Your Boat" they put their feet together
and "rowed" back and forth to the rhythm.

Benny on drums.

Benny on tapping sticks.

Hooray for boat camp! Hooray for Matthew and Heather and Brandon
who helped put it on!

And hooray for Mrs. Ford who took those nine kids
and gave them the time of their lives! She is amazing!
No, her face isn't always twisted in a rictus of terror --
she was singing a pirate song in this picture with the kids!
