My goodness, it's that good a book? I haven't read Lolita and I live in the USA where you can read anything anytime. I had no idea Lolita was so good that Arab women would sneak to read it, risk a beating from the religious police. Who knew?
Of course it might be that they can't read and they're just looking at the pictures. Some women in that part of the world don't get educated.
