Homeschooling, horsing around, Suzuki violin, dancing, swimming, reprimanding our Boston Terrier, karate, liberating more fossil fuel in our minivan, and other exciting moments in the life of two spectacular children and their tired parents. Egg Drop Contest

For more, please read my post on my local homeschooling blog, Little Blue School, to see four videos of the event, many pictures, and my scatterbrained thoughts on the competition.

Egg Drop Results
Two Egg Category, Grade 5 and Under:
1st Place: Benny (his was the only pair of eggs that survived the drop)
Most Creative Design: Benny
One Egg Category, College and Adult:
3rd Place (of 15): Dan
Most Creative Design: Lydia
To put Dan's third place in fair context: He told Sadie she could drop the contraption, and she dropped it early, when the dude wasn't even done cleaning up the wreckage of the previous contraption, and she kinda flung it, so he had weight penalties for being off target which were entirely out of his control. Hehehe. Later she said, "REMEMBER? When you hold me up and I dwop it? That was FUNNY." He wouldn't have won, because the winning dude's thing was 8 grams, and Dan's was more than that without any penalties, but still, I felt that anecdote should be included. :D
