	This week the Creative Threads Guild interprets patriotic songs in garments for children, honoring our country in preparation for Memorial Day. I chose the song "America the Beautiful" and this set is my illustration of America's fruitful harvest. Please see my other auctions for my "Spacious Skies" set. This three piece ensemble includes a cotton dress, a reversible hat with chenille crown, and a lined chenille purse. The hat and dress are trimmed with a double tier of cream muslin and tatted lace, and the dress and bag are appliqued with a stylized shock of wheat.

The dress is lined with shimmery copper fabric, very slippery cool for summer!	The hat reverses from the leaves and the gold fabric to green grass with a chenille crown.

This hat is lovely for keeping your angel shielded from the sun with its wide brim and comfortable fit.	Our little model loved the chenille purse, which works on the shoulder or elbow, for keeping treasures and candy!

The applique is satin stitched with shiny thread that gives the leaves and stalk a beautiful sheen.	The dress was made to size 4T-5. This model wears a 3T, and the dress will easily fit a taller child as well, with a shorter hemline.
