Saturday, January 03, 2004 ( 9:48 PM ) Lostcheerio Fair, blonde: Eva Marie or Isaac Owen Olive, brunette: Sadie Grace or Jude William Redhead: Matilda Marie or Otto Maxwell # ( 9:39 PM ) Lostcheerio PS If Benjamin doesn't sleep tonight (as he has not slept for the last two nights) I am seriously throwing myself out the basement window. # ( 9:38 PM ) Lostcheerio Took Ahno to the airport. Took Benny to the playground. Marched around the whole time as he went up and down slides and swings etc. Never sat down. BTW Benny used the big boy swing today for the first time. Since he's four, I thought hey, it's time. After two hours came home and took a small nap while Benny played Tak. NO CONTRACTIONS. NOTHING. Baby is briskly moving about, all happy and unconcerned, flexing its little limbs and getting hiccups and acting as if everything is all fine. So, what can I say? Can I complain about this when I'm like a week away from my due date? It's not like I want the baby to be EARLY if the baby wants to be ON TIME. I don't want it to come out with some parts still uncooked. It's just when I have like an entire day of contractions that wipe me out down to the roots, I expect SOMETHING TO HAPPEN. Also would have REALLY rather had the baby while Ahno was here but HEY WHAT CAN WE ALL DO ABOUT IT. NOTHING. So yippee. More pregnancy for me. Nothing could make me happier than a big heaping pile of PREGNANCY. # ( 7:49 AM ) Lostcheerio Nothing all night. Ready to give up yet? I am. When I say "nothing all night" of course I am forgetting to mention that Benny was up from TWO UNTIL SIX doing VARIOUS THINGS including coming into our bedroom to exercise eels and chickens which were reported to be "quiet chickens" but ended up being extremely loud chickens. Also singing COCKADOODLE DOO!!!! into the baby monitor at high volume. Also requesting me to come up/down rather a lot of times. SO.... fun night again. READY TO EXPIRE FROM PREGNANCY. # Friday, January 02, 2004 ( 6:43 PM ) Lostcheerio For about 13 hours now I have had constant painful cramping. Periodically I get stabbing dreadful contractions. Nothing regular. Nothing productive. If I get up and walk or go up and downstairs it can get to feeling extremely serious and dire. Then if I lie down and relax it recedes. I am completely losing my sense of humor here. Nothing is funny. # ( 8:32 AM ) Lostcheerio Still contracting. Still irregular. Quite painful. # ( 6:09 AM ) Lostcheerio Hmm. Maybe it is updating. Well it's six o'clock in the morning, Ahno leaves tomorrow, so I have a very short window here to have this baby during her visit. Here's hoping the shower I just took doesn't slow things down. The BabyWatch2004 page will be updated via cell phone if anything exciting happens and I can't get to the computer. # ( 6:07 AM ) Lostcheerio As long as this isn't updating I might as well say I've been up since 2:30 and part of it is Benny's need to sing songs and drink water and use the duck potty and part of it is this peculiar knife-in-gut sensation I seem to be having. # Thursday, January 01, 2004 ( 1:37 PM ) Lostcheerio Why isn't this updating. The baby's room is getting decorated with bugs on the wall and new curtains courtesy of its Ahno and Mama. We're going to keep the yellow paint and just modify the decor. Benny's room is almost finished upstairs... just need to finish sorting out a few boxes and whatnot. Car bed, traffic light, street map rug, transportation bedding, new shelving, all toys and books, etc. are all installed and child has been happily sleeping up there for over a week. Yay. I'm feeling about as dull as a mud puddle. Here's hoping the baby comes out today, since Ahno has to go home on Saturday. # Wednesday, December 31, 2003 ( 3:08 PM ) Lostcheerio If you are curious about what's going on with the baby on a minute by minute basis, you can go here and this page will be updated by my husband via his cell phone should anything get hot and horrendous. Baby Updates Christmas Eve at the midwife's office I was 1 cm and 50% effaced. New Year's Eve at the midwife's office I was 2 cm. Cervix is reportedly soft as "oatmeal." Hooray. Only 9 more hours to have a baby that also is a tax deduction. # |
