Friday, April 30, 2004       ( 8:17 PM ) Lostcheerio   Sadie can now grab things purposefully, for sure. It's no accident, she's concentrating hard and doing it on purpose. She also really REALLY likes the crinkly baby toy thing, where they put something inside the toy that makes a stiff crinkly sound. Benny never got into that, but Sadie is enchanted. She loves to squish the crinkly butterfly and make it crinkle. It's funny how she looks so earnestly at her own hands, simultaneously willing them to do her bidding and feeling shocked that they actually do it. She's starting to take a real interest in toys. It seems to me, and I could be misremembering, but it seems to me that she likes baby toys more than Benny did. Benny was more into physical endeavors like sitting up and rolling over. Sadie likes to sit up with our help and she did roll over once (on Easter, and hated it, did I blog that?) but what she really likes best of all is a face to talk to and laugh with, or a crinkly or rattly toy to grasp and examine. Very charming. Lovely baby. I REALLY ADORE HER. #
