Tuesday, May 25, 2004 ( 8:22 AM ) Lostcheerio Sadie and Benny have begun really interacting. It is the sweetest thing I have ever seen. Last night before bed they were rolling around on the bed in Sadie's room together and laughing. It was so adorable, I almost exploded out the top of my head. They are so comfortable with each other, so easy and relaxed with each other. It's like they were buddies in a past life and their little souls are saying hello to each other again. For some reason, I guess, I felt like they'd have to get to know each other, or there would be hair pulling or Benny wouldn't be gentle enough -- so far that's not happening. He plays with her feet and she scritches on his arm and she just BEAMS with happiness whenever she can see his face and he saw "Awwww" and kisses her and it's completely the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I have TWO CHILDREN. They are THE CHILDREN. They are a unit unto themselves. They are a little team of children. Seeing this just beginning to take shape is miraculous. It's something I did not anticipate. Benny is really accepting her into his world, and Sadie just couldn't be more thrilled that Benny exists. He's her favorite, no contest, no debate. When he comes into view it's like the sun came out from behind a cloud. Pure adoration. # (0) comments |
