Wednesday, June 30, 2004 ( 7:42 AM ) Lostcheerio Sadie is so marvelous. A few things have happened. One is that she got a new high chair. We got the Deluxe Healthy Care from Fisher Price... it's AWESOME! Much cooler than the one(s) I had for Benjamin, of course -- for example it has three trays that cover the eating area --- you can put them into the dishwasher for total hygiene. Woo! Nothing excites me like total hygiene... as I put the binky back in her mouth that fell onto the pile of old kleenexes... JUST KIDDING! So she's sitting in it right now like a little princess pie gnawing on a toy, right on the level with Benny and me as we sit at our computers. Benny didn't like being in a high chair -- Sadie does. I got her some peek-a-boo blocks to be her special high chair toys and she loves them. They're very cool. ALSO, she got an exersaucer. Yes, she already had a jumperoo but she needed an exersaucer also for obvious reasons. She got the ZOO themed one from Evenflo. I can't decipher the various "plus, mega, ultra, super, deluxe" code words but it is SOOOO cool. Very very cool. She's good with it, but I think it's a little too big for her still -- NOT LENGTHWISE, because she's already touching the floor flat-footed with it on the bottom rung. But I think the bucket is too big for her in a circumference way and she kind of is lost in it to an extent. But she'll grow into it. She, like Benny as an infant, is not very big around, but rather looooong. She's smaller than Benny but compared to Little sweet smiley girl!!! So happy!!! The babbling continues. Yesterday we were at the pool and Sadie was just victoriously SCREECHING and HOLLERING -- I think checking out the different acoustics in the room -- it was HILARIOUS! She was just practically yodeling. People were staring and laughing. Final thing: She graduated to the sit 'em up bath seat. She takes her bath with Benny and I've had her in the slanted bath tub for safety, but the other night she spent the whole bath trying to sit up so I got out the spinning sitter-upper one, and she just loved it. She's not totally steady in it, I mean I have to keep a hand on her, but it's not like I was wandering around dreaming of a brighter tomorrow while they were in the tub anyway... I'm right there already. :) Speaking of Benny and Sadie together -- he's really starting to play with her, which delights her BEYOND DESCRIPTION. He is absolutely the sun in her sky and the center of her world. She loves him madly. He plays with her in her high chair, rambling on in his imaginary universe and using her stuff as props -- she doesn't care what he does or says as long as she can see his face. It's so adorable it's piercing. Both of these children are so incredibly beautiful and sweet that it is physically painful. So! # (0) comments |
